Job summary
px group is recruiting a Principal Process Engineer in Stockton on Tees to provide senior technical leadership and process engineering assurance for modifications and projects. You will ensure compliance with standards and client requirements while leading complex scopes and supporting proposals for new business opportunities.
On-the-job coaching and development reviews are offered. You’ll deliver authoritative process design input, lead governance, and mentor multidisciplinary teams to maintain
Qualifications
- Degree in process or chemical engineering (Chartered preferred).
- Extensive process engineering design experience across all project stages.
- Proven lead on complex scopes with technical direction to teams.
- Strong knowledge of process design methods and deliverables.
- Experience leading process safety reviews (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA/SIL).
- Procurement lifecycle experience and design assurance capability.
- Excellent report writing, stakeholder management and communication.
Responsibilities
- Comply with UK legislation and lead procedural improvements.
- Provide authoritative process engineering across design, procurement, and operations.
- Lead design assurance and governance with delegated authority.
- Produce and approve process deliverables ensuring cross-discipline consistency.
- Act as senior technical focal point for complex issues and risk resolution.
- Deputise for the Engineering Manager as needed; support priorities and decisions.
- Contribute to Business Winning with capability presentations and scopes.
