Valarian Technologies in London is seeking a Head of Platform Engineering to own the operational lifecycle of our security‑focused platforms. You will partner with engineering leadership to translate complex security and infra requirements into actionable priorities, triage findings, and manage remediation and reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritise the Platform Security & Trust roadmap across ISO 27001, SOC 2 and enterprise readiness.
• Translate pentest findings and compliance mandates into clear user stories and API contracts for engineering.
• Lead backlog grooming and vulnerability prioritisation balancing risk, remediation and new features.
• Coordinate external penetration tests and third‑party security audits as part of product validation cycles.
• Manage external tech dependencies and vendor deliverables to align with release schedules.
• Balance feature velocity with technical risk, cost and platform security boundaries.
• Track metrics on remediation time, security posture, vendor SLAs and delivery predictability.
• Act as product owner to ensure security, data sovereignty and auditability differentiation.
