Job summary

Hamilton Rowe Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Technical Maintenance Manager in Basildon to lead the day-to-day delivery of facilities management on a large, high-profile site. You will oversee a team of engineers and supervisors, acting as the main client contact and ensuring service standards meet SLAs and KPIs.

The role requires strong building services knowledge, hands-on leadership, budget and resource management, and a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Technical Maintenance management role.
• Strong technical/hard services background.
• Experience managing engineers, supervisors and wider operational teams.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
• Experience working to SLAs, KPIs and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the technical maintenance and facilities management operation on site.
• Act as the main point of contact for the client and key stakeholders.
• Lead and manage a team of engineers, supervisors and operational staff.
• Ensure all contractual obligations, SLAs and KPIs are consistently met.
• Oversee the delivery of hard and soft facilities management services.
• Monitor maintenance performance and ensure all planned and reactive works are completed effectively.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
• Work closely with the client to identify issues, provide solutions and drive continuous improvement.
• Produce performance reports and support regular client reviews.
• Manage budgets, costs and resources to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency without compromising quality.
• Support the development, training and performance of the site team.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders.
