Job summary

Evolito Limited is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership and governance across a portfolio of electric propulsion programmes. You will accountability for delivery from requirements through certification, working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety, performance and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will mentor engineers, influence design organisation strategy, and represent Evolito in reviews and with customers and authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in aerospace or related engineering.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary aerospace programmes.
• Strong systems engineering knowledge across lifecycle.
• Understanding of ARP4754/ARP4761 and DO-160.
• Experience with customers, certification authorities and suppliers.
• Proactive and collaborative leadership with ability to work under pressure.
• UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as delegated technical authority for assigned programmes.
• Lead technical delivery across requirements, systems engineering, design, verification, validation, certification and industrialisation.
• Ensure engineering decisions are evidence-based and aligned with safety and certification requirements.
• Lead Project Lead Engineers and Technical Programme Managers to deliver objectives and milestones.
• Oversee technical maturity, verification progress and risk reduction across programmes.
• Provide oversight of certification, system safety, reliability and development assurance activities.
• Represent Evolito at technical reviews, workshops and governance meetings.
• Mentor and develop Project Lead Engineers and future technical leaders.
• Support the Chief Engineer in developing the Design Organisation, technical strategy and roadmap.
• Travel as required.
