Job summary

Evolito Ltd is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to lead technical governance and delivery across electric propulsion programmes, acting as senior technical authority and deputising for the Chief Engineer when required.

You will oversee requirements, design, verification, certification and industrialisation across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and timely milestone achievement while shaping Evolito’s technical strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or related field.
Experience leading complex multidisciplinary engineering programmes in regulated environments.
Strong track record in engineering leadership and technical decision-making.
Familiarity with lifecycle stages from requirements to certification and entry into service.
Understanding of certification principles and guidance (e.g., ARP4754/4761, DO-160).
Experience with customers, suppliers and certification authorities.

Responsibilities

Act as delegated technical authority for assigned programmes and product lines.
Lead governance across requirements, systems engineering, design, verification, validation, certification and industrialisation.
Ensure evidence-based engineering decisions aligned with safety and certification requirements.
Lead engineers and programme managers to deliver objectives and milestones.
Oversee technical maturity, verification progress and risk reduction across programmes.
Balance performance, safety, cost and schedule in technical decisions.
Drive timely resolution of cross-functional technical issues and risks.
Oversee certification, system safety, reliability and development assurance activities.
