Job summary
Sword Group in the United Kingdom seeks a Technical Lead for our Cloud & Cyber Services practice. You will shape the quality, direction and development of our technical services across strategic engagements, projects and managed services, leading and mentoring our Technical Service Architects to ensure governance aligns with client goals.

Qualifications
- Proven technical leadership in IT consultancy/MSP or customer-facing tech environment.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing senior technical professionals.
- Leadership experience in technical consulting, architecture or engineering.
- Broad knowledge across cloud, infrastructure, identity, cyber security and managed services.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID/AD.
- Understanding of security/compliance frameworks (Zero Trust, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience engaging with senior customer stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
- ITIL-aligned service management understanding.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Technical Service Architects with clear roadmap ownership and service improvement.
- Support the technical and career development of Principal Consultants and Architects.
- Own and maintain technical standards, reference architectures and design governance.
- Provide technical assurance to ensure secure, compliant, resilient services.
- Oversee customer roadmaps, service improvement plans and debt reduction.
- Translate customer challenges into repeatable technical improvements and standards.
- Develop strategic service offerings from concept to delivery and support.
- Define scope, standards and delivery requirements for new offerings.
- Act as a senior technical advisor to strategic customers and build trusted relationships.
- Support governance forums and major technical escalations.
- Provide technical leadership on bids, proposals and service design.
- Collaborate with project/service delivery managers to maintain quality.
