Arcadis is seeking an Associate Technical Director to join the Water & Utilities MEICA team in the UK. You will establish and consolidate relationships with clients, oversee technical delivery and design outputs for complex water projects, and lead multi-disciplinary design efforts using the latest digital design techniques.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IMechE, IET, or CIWEM
• Significant experience in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water engineering projects
• Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design

Responsibilities

• Work independently and as a team member on production and checking of complex mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, reports and drawings
• Lead or support design and advisory services for water and wastewater plants, pumping stations and ancillary assets
• Deliver technical multidisciplinary projects in a Design or Technical Lead capacity using digital design techniques
• Identify and develop innovative and optimized technical solutions based on client needs
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ICA)
• Build and grow relationships with clients and partners on technical, commercial and progress matters
• Ensure projects meet technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards
• Line manage, mentor, and develop staff where assigned
