Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Associate Technical Director to join the Water & Utilities MEICA team in the UK. You will establish and consolidate relationships with clients, manage technical delivery and design outputs for complex water projects, and lead multi-disciplinary teams using digital design techniques.

The role sits in the Resilience Global Business Area, addressing climate change and water resources challenges while delivering sustainable design and engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IMechE, IET, or CIWEM.
• Significant experience in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects.
• Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design.
• Team leader with collaborative behaviours.
• Desired: Water and/or wastewater experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out production and checking of complex mechanical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
• Support and/or lead design and advisory services relating to water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations and ancillary assets.
• Deliver multi-disciplinary projects in a Design or Technical Lead capacity using digital design techniques.
• Identify and develop innovative technical solutions based on client needs and drivers.
• Lead and coordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams (process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, ICA).
• Establish and grow relationships with clients and partners on technical, commercial and progress matters.
• Ensure projects meet technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives.
• Line management, mentoring, and performance development for assigned staff.
