Job summary

ARC Group is seeking a Senior Technical Coordinator to lead technical coordination across multiple residential developments in the Waltham Abbey area. You will coordinate design information, manage consultants and ensure projects meet programme deadlines and buildability standards.

The role requires a minimum of five years in a related senior coordination position, with strong knowledge of planning processes, building regulations and CDM requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Technical Coordinator or similar role within residential construction.
• Strong experience coordinating residential design and technical information.
• Solid understanding of planning, building regulations and regulatory approvals.

Senior Technical Coordinator

Location: Waltham Abbey

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance + Package

The Opportunity

A prestigious residential developer is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Technical Coordinator to join their established Technical team in Waltham Abbey.

This is a key role within the technical function, responsible for coordinating the design and technical delivery of high-quality residential developments from pre-construction through to construction. You will work closely with internal departments, external consultants, statutory authorities and construction teams to ensure projects are technically compliant, commercially viable and ready for delivery.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-quality developments within an established and forward-thinking business, with responsibility for managing technical information across multiple projects and driving solutions through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical coordination across multiple residential developments
• Coordinate design information and ensure delivery is aligned with project programmes
• Manage relationships with architects, engineers, consultants and specialist subcontractors
• Review drawings and technical information for buildability, compliance and construction readiness
• Coordinate planning approvals, statutory applications and discharge of planning conditions
• Work closely with Construction, Commercial, Land, Planning and Sales teams to ensure technical requirements are aligned
• Review and coordinate specialist subcontractor and supplier design information
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the design and construction process
• Support value engineering and design optimisation while maintaining quality standards
• Ensure projects comply with relevant building regulations, CDM requirements and company procedures
• Maintain accurate technical records and ensure information is appropriately documented throughout the project lifecycle
• Support the implementation of Golden Thread requirements and effective technical handover
• Provide technical support to the wider project team and assist with mentoring more junior members of the Technical team

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years experience working within a Technical Coordinator, Senior Technical Coordinator or similar technical role within residential construction
• Strong experience coordinating residential design and technical information
• Good understanding of the residential development process from pre-construction through to delivery
• Strong understanding of planning, building regulations, statutory approvals and technical compliance
• Knowledge of CDM, Building Regulations and current technical requirements
• Understanding of Golden Thread principles and the requirements surrounding information management
• Relevant qualification such as a Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent industry experience
