Job summary

Siemens Software is seeking a Senior Technical Author to join the documentation team supporting Rapidminer SLC, part of the Siemens analytics product suite. You will research, write, and maintain developer and administration documentation for Rapidminer SLC products, translating complex programming-language behavior into clear, actionable guidance.

Collaborate with engineering SMEs, QA, and support across global teams, manage long-term documentation projects, ensure accuracy, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or international graduate in a related field or Technical Communication.
• 5+ years of related experience in technical communication, instructional design, engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Information gathering from engineers, source code, and specifications.
• Clear, succinct explanation of complex information.
• Experience creating tutorials, training manuals or guides.
• Exposure to programming principles or programming experience.
• Ability to explain mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to produce documentation without AI-generated content.
• Experience on long-duration, complex technical projects.
• Familiarity with distributed or international teams.

Responsibilities

• Planning and generating content for data analytics products with engineering SMEs.
• Researching, writing, and maintaining developer and administration documentation for Rapidminer SLC.
• Producing high-quality, original technical documentation of statistical, mathematical, and programmatic concepts.
• Contributing to end-user documentation as required for other Rapidminer products.
• Reviewing and copy-editing documentation for consistency.
• Collaborating with software developers, customer support and QA to reflect feedback and new features.
• Interpreting syntax-only specifications to derive accurate functional behavior.
• Collaborating globally to meet deadlines.
• Managing long-term documentation projects with sustained analysis and writing.
