Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC in Scotland invites a Lead Software Engineer to help design, develop, and deliver trusted technology products. You will own the delivery of risk assessment platforms for regulatory reporting and collaborate with global teams to drive secure, scalable solutions.

You will guide engineers, run architectural reviews, and implement strong DevOps practices in an Agile environment, leveraging Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Databricks, and React-based front ends.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java (Core & EE, Spring Boot) and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Expertise in architecture disciplines and design patterns.
• Working knowledge of data lake concepts and Databricks.
• Spark ETL with Python/PySpark experience.
• UI development with React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Proficiency with RDBMS such as Oracle/PL/SQL.
• Experience building microservices with Spring Boot.
• CI/CD tooling and scripting (Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Bash/PowerShell).
• Strong testing practices with UI unit tests, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, Mockito.
• Cloud infrastructure, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and messaging (JMS, MQ, Kafka).
• AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue); IaC (Terraform).
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and QA teams globally to deliver solutions.
• Design and develop technical artifacts.

• Mentor engineers and guide daily tasks.
