Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced in one or more programming languages, preferably Java.
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with evaluation of outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, resiliency and security.

Responsibilities

Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by others.
Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations with secure validation standards.
Apply knowledge of the SDLC tools to improve automation and value.
Identify opportunities to automate recurring issues to improve stability of applications.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors or teams to assess architectural designs and applicability.
