Job summary

SBS Skipton Building Society is recruiting for an IT Internal Audit role based at Skipton with hybrid working. You will lead audits across technology, cyber risk, cloud security, and governance, delivering high-quality reports and practical recommendations while building strong stakeholder relationships.

You will identify emerging risks, support audit planning, and guide colleagues through transformation programmes, AI and data governance reviews, ensuring timely delivery within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Internal Audit across information security, cyber risk, cloud services.
• Strong understanding of IT risk, controls and governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Confident communicator with stakeholder management ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audits across technology, cyber risk, cloud security, software development, DR, resilience, and IT governance.
• Plan and execute audit fieldwork, producing high quality reports with clear insights and practical recommendations.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the Skipton Group, providing independent assurance and guidance.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities through continuous monitoring for informed decisions.
• Contribute to Internal Audit Plan and communicate outcomes to drive action.
• Support and lead colleagues while contributing to transformation programmes and AI/Data Governance reviews.
