Job summary

Skipton Building Society is seeking a Technology, Transformation & Resilience Risk Oversight Lead to provide expert second line risk oversight across information security, technology, AI, data and operational resilience. You will work with the operational risk team to ensure robust risk management and contribute to long-term organisational resilience.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification or comparable risk, technology or information security certification.
• Experience across information security, technology risk, operational resilience and enterprise risk management.
• Proven track record of providing second line risk oversight, assurance, control evaluation and risk assessment within a regulated environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present confidently to senior leaders and committees.
• Experience leading teams, strategic initiatives and multiple workstreams, delivering high quality outcomes and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight across information security, technology, AI, data, change and operational resilience.
• Deliver second line risk-based oversight of cyber security, technology risk and governance.
• Produce risk reporting and analysis for senior leaders and committees, identifying trends and opportunities.
• Lead thematic reviews, risk assessments and follow-up to strengthen controls and address root causes.
• Act as a trusted risk advisor, promoting a strong risk culture through guidance and stakeholder engagement.
