Job summary

Skipton Building Society is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Manager to shape and strengthen risk management across technology, cyber security, resilience, data and third party risks. You will provide independent second line oversight, challenge and assurance to senior stakeholders and the Board.

Lead a high performing risk team, drive continuous improvement and influence risk decisions across the organisation. The role offers blended working with time in our Skipton office.

Qualifications

• Experience across operational risk disciplines including technology, cyber security, data and third party risk.
• Ability to translate complex risk matters into clear business actions and recommendations.
• Strong governance, assurance methodologies and regulatory understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide second line oversight across operational risks with a focus on technology, cyber security, resilience, data, third party and change risk.
• Offer guidance and strategic advice to senior stakeholders on complex risk issues.
• Support and challenge first line teams to identify and manage risks with strong controls and informed decisions.
• Deliver risk reporting and updates to senior leadership, Risk Committees and the Board.
• Drive continuous improvement across risk frameworks, governance and reporting practices.
• Provide inspirational leadership to the second line risk team.
