Job summary

Outward is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead Elder Extra Care sheltered schemes across Hackney and Camden. You will guide a dedicated team to deliver high-quality housing-related support, ensuring residents maintain tenancies with dignity and access to needed services.

You will bring a Level 5 qualification and proven ability to manage staff, safeguard residents, and collaborate with partners to improve services.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience of managing staff.
• Experience delivering services that meet contract requirements and quality standards.
• Knowledge of housing-related support, tenancy sustainment, rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, repairs and health and safety processes.
• Strong safeguarding, risk management and support planning knowledge for adults at risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support staff across Elder Extra Care sheltered schemes, providing guidance, supervision and development.
• Champion person-centred support promoting independence, choice, safety, wellbeing and dignity.
• Oversee support planning, tenancy sustainment, risk management and resident involvement.
• Manage day-to-day housing and property processes: voids, lettings, rent, service charge arrears, repairs, health & safety, cleanliness, security.
• Build relationships with residents, families, commissioners and partner agencies.
• Monitor budgets, service charge expenditure, performance data, complaints and audits.
• Ensure alignment with policies, procedures, contracts and organisational values.
• Provide frontline management cover during evenings, weekends, and on-call.
