Job summary

Outward in London is seeking a confident Team Manager to lead Elder Extra Care sheltered schemes across Hackney and Camden. You will oversee housing-related support, tenancy sustainment and resident wellbeing, ensuring high-quality services in line with our values.

You will manage staff, build strong partnerships with residents and local authorities, and ensure safe, well-run homes with good safeguarding, risk management and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing staff for at least 1 year.
• Experience of recruiting, supervising, developing and supporting teams.
• Experience with contract-compliant service delivery and quality standards.
• Knowledge of housing-related support, tenancy sustainment, rent arrears, ASB, repairs and health and safety.
• Good safeguarding, risk management and support planning knowledge.
• Strong relationship-building with residents, partners and authorities.
• Clear written communication, numeracy, organisational and IT skills.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and continuous improvement.
• Right to Work in the UK; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support staff across Elder Extra Care sheltered schemes.
• Champion person-centred support promoting independence, safety and dignity.
• Oversee support planning, tenancy sustainment, risk management, safeguarding.
• Manage day-to-day housing and property management: voids, lettings, rent and service charge arrears, repairs and health and safety checks.
• Build relationships with residents, families, commissioners and partner agencies.
• Monitor budgets, service charge expenditure, performance information, complaints, records, audits and inspections.
• Ensure the service is delivered in line with Outward's policies, procedures, contractual requirements and values.
• Provide frontline management cover, including some evenings, weekends and on-call.
