Job summary

UWE Bristol in Bristol is seeking a Senior Teaching Technician (Manufacturing - Digital) to manage 3D printing facilities, operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, and provide hands-on training for practical classes, student projects, and research.

The successful candidate will contribute to designing curricula and pedagogies, support and mentor students, and work within the School of Engineering on campus at Frenchay Campus, with a permanent role and a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in the relevant subject area with evidence of CPD.
• Experience working in a technical environment.
• Ability to design curricula and pedagogies to enhance learning.
• Experience delivering demonstrations and instruction to students.

Responsibilities

• Manage 3D printing facilities and manufacturing equipment.
• Provide hands-on training to support practical classes, student projects and research.
• Mentor and support the next generation of engineers.
• Collaborate with programme teams to develop curricula and pedagogies.
