We are seeking to appoint a permanent post for Senior Teaching Technician: Manufacturing (Digital), to be part of a team of technicians providing practical teaching and support working within the manufacturing workshop in the School of Engineering which is part of College of Technology, Art and Environment.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to shape our multidisciplinary Engineering education. The successful candidate will be working alongside the programme team(s) to design and develop curricula and pedagogies that leads to outstanding learning and practice experience contributing to Engineering programmes.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a technical environment, along with the skills and enthusiasm to deliver demonstrations and provide instruction to students.

About you

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing (Digital) Technician who will manage 3D printing facilities, operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, and provide hands‑on training to support practical classes, student projects, and research.

We particularly welcome candidates who can bring not only strong technical expertise but also a passion for supporting and mentoring the next generation of engineers. We highly value candidates who have a background and knowledge that can help develop our aspiring student engineers.

This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week.
