Job summary

UWE Bristol in Bristol is seeking a Senior Teaching Technician (Manufacturing - Digital) to manage 3D printing facilities, operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, and provide hands-on training for practical classes, student projects, and research.

The successful candidate will contribute to designing curricula and pedagogies, support and mentor students, and work within the School of Engineering on campus at Frenchay Campus, with a permanent role and a diverse, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification in the relevant subject area with evidence of CPD.
• Experience working in a technical environment.
• Ability to design curricula and pedagogies to enhance learning.
• Experience delivering demonstrations and instruction to students.

We are seeking to appoint a permanent post for Senior Teaching Technician: Manufacturing (Digital), to be part the School of Engineering.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to shape our multidisciplinary Engineering education. The successful candidate will be working alongside the programme team(s) to design and develop curricula and pedagogies that leads to outstanding learning and practice experience contributing to Engineering programmes.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a technical environment, along with the skills and enthusiasm to deliver demonstrations and provide instruction to students.
