Job summary

Ansford Academy is seeking a dedicated Senior Teaching Assistant to support learning alongside teachers and small groups. The role involves helping students develop confidence, independent learning, and personal growth within a warm, inclusive environment. Training and professional development opportunities are provided.

We offer flexible patterns within term-time hours and opportunities to lead specific initiatives, such as ELSA or EBSA interventions, while safeguarding student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent Level 2 qualifications.
• Strong communication, planning and teamwork skills.
• A genuine liking for working with young people and supporting their education.

Responsibilities

• Support learning by working with teachers and small groups or individuals.
• Help students build confidence and independent learning skills.
• Lead department initiatives such as ELSA or EBSA interventions where appropriate.
• Act as a positive role model for wellbeing and inclusion.
