Job summary

Maiden Erlegh Trust is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils across our pathways, delivering engaging lessons and targeted interventions. You will work with teachers to adapt plans for varied abilities, including SEMH and SEN, ensuring inclusive access to learning.

The role involves supporting individuals, small groups or whole classes across different subjects. You will also be involved in developing resources, monitoring progress, and fostering positive relationships with

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent with experience across primary and secondary settings.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and maths is required.
• Ability to plan and deliver learning activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups or whole classes.
• Produce and adapt schemes of work and resources to meet needs.
• Support delivery of literacy and numeracy programmes.
• Contribute to interventions and out-of-school activities.
• Use ICT to support learning and student engagement.
• Monitor and report pupils' attainment and progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to support learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
