Job summary

Brisbane Park Infant School in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking a Senior Teaching Assistant for a permanent role at 32.5 hours per week, term time. The role focuses on supporting a year 2 pupil with ADHD and SEMH needs. NVQ level 3 or equivalent is required, with a nurturing, flexible team player prepared to contribute to IEPs and EHCPs.

Hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm every day during term time, with opportunities to work across the School Federation.

Senior Teaching Assistant – Permanent – 32.5 Hours per week
PCD 7 £29,542 (A) (pro rata) (£15.31 per hour)

Required from November 2026

We are looking for a Senior Teaching Assistant, qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. The role will be to work with a child in a year 2 class. The person should have experience in working with children with ADHD and SEMH needs.

The hours of work will be everyday 8.30am-3.30pm. term time

Applicants must be enthusiastic and passionate about working with our children and be able to bring unique skills, talents and experiences to our school.

• Assist with the implementation of individual learning programmes (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

• Be able to adapt learning tasks to meet the needs of the learners
