Job summary

Alstom in Derby seeks a passionate TCMS (Train Control and Monitoring System) Engineer to design and develop advanced train control and management systems. You will own complex projects, delivering robust, scalable solutions that shape the future of rail mobility.

With a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, you will lead cross‑functional teams, integrate TCMS with vehicle platforms, and drive reliable, safe systems across lifecycle phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in rail systems engineering or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in TCMS design, embedded software development, communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet), and system integration.
• Strong understanding of safety-critical systems, rail industry standards, and lifecycle management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on team development and stakeholder engagement.

What You Bring
