Job summary

ALSTOM Gruppe in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sub-System Manager to lead technical integration and deliver cutting-edge rail solutions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable transportation systems for millions of passengers.

You will manage a project sub-system and drive QCDP objectives, coordinate stakeholders, arbitrate trade-offs, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while steering timelines and risk management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Quality Cost Delivery Performance (QCDP) in the project.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Manage cross-functional subsystem stakeholders, activities and deliverables.
  • Arbitrate between engineering, product x process, Make or Buy, Costs, Milestones, Interfaces to reach QCDP.
  • Ensure deliverables meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage timelines and mitigate risks.
  • Support continuous improvement for reliability and efficiency.

Salary: circa £80,000 DOE plus bonus and excellent benefits including car or car allowance

Your future role

We are looking for a Sub-System Manager passionate about leading technical integration and delivering cutting-edge rail solutions. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and reliable transportation systems for millions of passengers.

You will be responsible for leading a project sub-system and ensuring the successful delivery of Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) objectives. This includes managing cross-functional stakeholders, activities, and deliverables, driving key decisions and trade-offs across engineering, cost, process, and milestone requirements.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Manage end-to-end the Quality Cost Delivery Performance (QCDP) in your Project.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and promote innovation.
  • Manage cross-functionally sub-system level stakeholders, activities and deliverables and make needed arbitration (engineering, product x process, Make or Buy, Costs, Milestones, Interfaces, …) to reach QCDP commitment
  • Ensure deliverables are aligned with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage timelines and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
