Job summary

Aggreko in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Tax Reporting Manager to lead our global tax reporting across the group. You will own end-to-end processes, ensure accuracy under US GAAP and IFRS, and deliver timely information to stakeholders.

You will engage with internal teams, external auditors and providers, drive improvements in the tax reporting systems, and contribute to the financial control environment within a multinational organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified ICAS/ACA/CTA or equivalent.
• Post-qualification experience in tax reporting, ideally within a large multinational group.
• Strong experience with tax reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with Thomson Reuters OTP system or similar tax reporting technology.
• Experience in outsourced finance function with external BPO provider.
• Highly analytical with strong communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to engage tax authorities and multiple internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work to multiple deadlines under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end tax reporting process for the global group, including year-end consolidation, quarterly reporting, budgets and forecasts, cash tax actuals and disclosures.
• Manage external auditors and advisors throughout the tax reporting process.
• Drive continuous improvement within the tax reporting systems, processes and procedures.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of responsibilities.

As Senior Tax Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of our global tax reporting across the Aggreko group. Your leadership will help us to optimise our tax reporting processes and deliver timely and meaningful information to key stakeholders within the group.

What you’ll do as Senior Tax Reporting Manager

• Own the end-to-end tax reporting process for the Aggreko global group, including:
  • Year‑end tax consolidation
  • Quarterly reporting
  • Budget and forecast projections
  • Cash tax actuals and projections
  • Tax disclosures
• Manage external auditors and advisors throughout the tax reporting process.
• Drive continuous improvement within the group’s tax reporting systems, processes, and procedures.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate to ensure delivery of the above responsibilities.

You are:

• Qualified ICAS/ACA/CTA or equivalent.
• Possessing post‑qualification experience in tax reporting, ideally within a large multinational group.
• Equipped with strong experience and knowledge of tax reporting under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experienced in working with Thomson Reuters OTP system, or similar tax reporting technology.
• Beneficially, experienced in working in an outsourced finance function in conjunction with an external BPO provider (though not critical).
• Highly analytical with strong communication skills.
• An excellent written and verbal communicator, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with tax authorities and influence a variety of internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrating experience of working to multiple deadlines under time pressure.
• Able to quickly understand new technical issues and stay up to date with developing technical areas.
