Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst
Location: Peterborough or Solihull
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting accuracy, while also driving process improvements throughout the tax lifecycle. You’ll be involved in preparing timely and accurate tax filings, maintaining robust documentation, and supporting data-driven insights that enhance operational efficiency.

What you Will Do
Preparing and analysing complex tax compliance, audit, and/or provision computations.
Working closely with internal and external business partners to ensure appropriate information is gathered, analysed, and proficiently conveys information to tax managers on tax implications.
Leading or supporting projects related to process improvements, implementation of controls, or global tax initiatives.
Researching and analysing tax regulations to document tax positions, optimize enterprise tax impact, and model tax impacts of proposed legislation with oversight by management.
Analysing and developing responses to support tax authority inquiries with oversight by management.
What you Have
Tax Management: Knowledge of tax laws, organizational tax practices, obligations; ability to manage organization tax related issues.
Experience in UK Corporation Tax;
Tax Operations: Knowledge of tax practices and regulations; ability to prepare and file local tax returns.
Tax Regulations: Knowledge of UK tax procedures and regulations; ability to adhere to tax regulations when filing forms as they pertain to a particular business or industry.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and process management & improvement skills
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Strong communication skills, accountability, organizational skills, and good judgment
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Financial and Accounting Systems: Knowledge of functions, features and capabilities of financial and accounting systems; ability to use financial and accounting applications specific to the organization.
A good understanding of finance and business processes in global organizations.
Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification
UK GAAP Tax accounting knowledge and skills, with some knowledge of US GAAP.
Experience of non-US direct tax compliance requirements including tax returns and transfer pricing is an added strength but not required. Prior Pillar 2 knowledge is not a requirement.
Strong knowledge of M365 and Onesource desirable.
Collaborative, proactive, team-oriented personality with the ability to build and foster relationships with internal and external business partners

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office
