Job summary

Crowe Watson Recruitment in Leeds is seeking a Tax Advisory Director to lead a varied advisory portfolio and act as the primary client contact. The role involves strategic tax planning, mentoring juniors, and shaping client relationships within a dynamic UK practice.

Required ACA/CTA (or qualified by experience), with eight years’ UK practice experience and strong technical tax knowledge. Salary is £90,000–£115,000 plus benefits; on-site in Leeds, with flexible working options.

Qualifications

• ACA/CTA qualified, or qualified by experience
• At least eight years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Strong technical knowledge across a range of taxes and ability to interpret complex legislation
• Proven experience managing senior client relationships and a varied advisory portfolio
• Proactive, commercial mindset with a track record of developing junior staff

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of tax advisory projects across a technically interesting client base
• Providing proactive tax planning advice across a range of complex matters
• Reviewing technical work prepared by junior team members
• Building and maintaining client relationships across the portfolio
• Coaching and developing team members at all levels
• Contributing to business development and practice growth
