Job summary

Required ACA/CTA (or qualified by experience), with eight years’ UK practice experience and strong technical tax knowledge. Salary is £90,000–£115,000 plus benefits; on-site in Leeds, with flexible working options.

Tax Advisory Director

£90,000 to £115,000 per annum (DOE) Permanent, full time

Leeds

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds is looking for an ACA and/or CTA qualified Tax Advisory Director to manage a varied portfolio of advisory projects and act as the primary point of contact for clients.

The advisory work spans succession planning, business sales, share schemes and restructuring, delivered to a technically interesting client base. Leeds has one of the UK's most active regional tax markets, and the firm is well placed within it with a strong Yorkshire reputation.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a varied portfolio of tax advisory projects across a technically interesting client base


• Providing proactive tax planning advice across a range of complex matters


• Reviewing technical work prepared by junior team members


• Building and maintaining client relationships across the portfolio


• Coaching and developing team members at all levels


• Contributing to business development and practice growth

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA and/or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience, with a strong tax advisory background


• At least eight years' experience within a UK Practice environment


• Strong technical knowledge across a range of taxes, with the ability to interpret complex legislation


• Proven experience managing senior client relationships and a varied advisory portfolio
