Job summary

Georgiana Head Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced tax professional to join a large accountancy firm’s corporate tax team in Leeds. The role balances advisory and compliance work with a focus on strategic tax planning for major clients.

You will develop client relationships, lead a team, and deliver complex tax solutions, including BEPS Pillar 2 assessments and restructurings. Flexible/hybrid working options are available; part-time considered; visa sponsorship not provided.

Job description

A great role for an experienced qualified tax professional in a friendly corporate tax team in a large accountancy firm. The work is a mix of advisory and compliance weighted c 70% advisory and 30% compliance management and oversight. Clients are larger corporate and groups. This team is growing and there is clear scope for promotion to Director in the role, so no glass ceiling here. The key elements of the role are:

• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor, delivering strategic tax advice that directly contributes to their commercial success and long-term growth.
• Leading and overseeing the team in delivering compliance work and strategic advice to a broad range of clients, helping them to achieve their commercial objectives and navigate complex tax challenges.
• Managing the successful delivery of technically complex advice, including tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, pre/post transaction reorganisations, BEPS Pillar 2 assessment and implementation, tax authority enquiries, and providing complex technical support to the wider corporate tax team (e.g., on hybrid mismatches). You will be at the forefront of managing complex tax advice, contributing to innovative solutions for clients navigating an evolving global tax landscape.

You will also be involved in managing and developing more junior staff. This is a hybrid role - part time will be considered and this office has a great track record for part time and flexible working. Leeds based will consider Newcastle as a location.
