Job description

At LGC, our mission is Science for a Safer World. With a successful Talent Acquisition team, we help bring this mission to life!

As a global life sciences company, we work across healthcare, food, sport and other applied markets, helping our customers maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to join our global Talent Acquisition team for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave.

Job Description

You’ll manage recruitment across various business functions, partnering with hiring managers across a varied portfolio of specialist and professional roles.

From scientific and technical recruitment to corporate appointments, you’ll work across different talent markets, get to grips with complex hiring needs and influence how we attract and select great people.

This is a hands‑on role with plenty of autonomy. You’ll own your recruitment portfolio, advise hiring managers on the best approach and work alongside a supportive team that shares knowledge, challenges thinking and is always looking for ways to improve how we recruit.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across your dedicated business areas, from initial briefing and recruitment planning through to offer, partnering with hiring teams to agree requirements and the right approach.
  • Source and attract talent through LinkedIn, direct search, job boards, networking and talent pools, including proactively identifying and engaging passive candidates.
  • Conduct candidate screening interviews to assess suitability, understand motivations and bring opportunities at LGC to life.
  • Manage interview processes and candidate communication, keeping recruitment moving and ensuring a positive experience throughout.
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring teams, HR colleagues and wider stakeholders, providing market insight and advice to support effective hiring decisions.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records in SmartRecruiters and use candidate and hiring manager feedback to continually improve the recruitment experience.
  • Support employer branding through engaging job adverts and platforms including Textio and LinkedIn, helping our opportunities reach the right audiences.
  • Contribute to wider TA projects, systems and process improvements, sharing knowledge with colleagues and supporting other business areas when needed.
Qualifications

We're seeking an experienced, internal TA Partner who can quickly understand a hiring need, ask the right questions and turn that into an effective recruitment and sourcing strategy. You’ll be confident providing advice and market insight, while still enjoying the hands‑on side of finding and engaging great candidates.

You’ll also bring:
  • Experience in life sciences, R&D or technical recruitment
  • Confidence in direct sourcing and headhunting, including engaging passive candidates.
  • Experience partnering with multiple hiring managers at once and advising on recruitment strategy.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple vacancies and hiring teams.
  • Strong communication, organisation and candidate assessment skills.
  • A practical, data‑aware approach and the confidence to work independently.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and LinkedIn Recruiter.
