Diamond Light Source is the UK’s national synchrotron science facility. It accelerates electrons to near light-speed to generate brilliant beams of light used for research across various scientific disciplines, including structural biology, physics, chemistry, materials science, engineering, and environmental sciences.
We are seeking a Senior Systems Maintenance Technician to work primarily with Diamond’s Installation and Facility Management (IFM) maintenance team. The role involves providing technical support and assisting with building services and fabric maintenance.
The role may require supporting non-maintenance activities and participating in on-call duties as needed.
You should hold a City & Guilds BS7671 Wiring Regulations Qualification or equivalent, and have completed a recognized apprenticeship in engineering. Experience with LV electrical systems, wiring to 18th Edition, UPS, standby generators, fire detection, and smoke control systems is essential. Supervisory experience and familiarity with Building Management Systems are desirable.
