Job summary

SoCode Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious educational institution in Cambridge to appoint a Systems Infrastructure Engineer. The role is full-time and hybrid (4 days on site) with a salary in the 45,000–50,000 GBP range.

You will own infrastructure design, service delivery, and major incident management across a complex IT environment. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will drive strategic technology projects, mentor colleagues and champion secure, resilient IT services.

Qualifications

• Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer with strong Microsoft infrastructure expertise.
• Experience in infrastructure design, security, and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned infrastructure systems and network services.
• Lead on infrastructure projects and service improvements.
• Provide third-line technical support for complex issues.
• Ensure security, resilience and high performance of IT services.
• Mentor and contribute to development of colleagues.
