Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer/Technical Lead Designate to join a Royal Navy training and simulation programme based in Bristol (with occasional travel to Portsmouth). The role blends hands-on engineering with stepping into technical leadership, delivering complex systems and guiding integration, testing, and demonstrations.

Qualifications

Strong Systems Engineering background.
Experience delivering complex systems or technical solutions.
Experience across the engineering lifecycle, including integration and testing.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of complex training and simulation systems.
Provide technical guidance across systems engineering, integration, and testing activities.
Work closely with project teams and customers to ensure successful delivery.
Support technical reviews, demonstrations, and acceptance activities.
Identify and manage technical risks and issues.
Contribute to solution development, integration, verification, and validation activities.
