Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd. is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to oversee the operational evaluation of the Typhoon ECRS Mk0 (ESCAN) radar against FFP criteria, reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer.

You will coordinate agile maturity activities and lead a small team through gaps and maturity metrics across multiple stakeholders. The role involves plan and present maturity reviews, work within the Typhoon delivery sector, and ensure compliance with EASA/MAA guidelines while seeking continuous product

Qualifications

• Experience of Radar Systems Design and/or Qualification at a Lead Engineer level.
• Familiarity with Pulsed Doppler radar waveform design and signal processing implementation.
• Familiarity with Radar tracking and trade-offs.
• Experience of certification to recognised standards including Integration, Test, Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA).
• Experience of data analysis from radar flight trials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain SC security clearance and work within UK/EU ITAR restrictions.
• Experience of working with stakeholders of varying seniorities and making timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for product gap analysis against operational scenarios.
• Identify and sentence Problem Reports (SysPRs).
• Prioritise Problem Reports and identify maturity goals.
• Support compliance statements against the Specification.
• Coordinate agile maturity assessments through Product Manager and SME leadership.
• Plan and present maturity reviews with stakeholders.
• Identify gaps in product maturity and support SysPR sentencing.
