Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer at the Global Technology Centre in Bristol. You will apply a modern systems engineering ethos across Software, Controls, Structures, Prototyping, Electrical & Cryogenic systems to shape the future of flight.

You will lead lifecycle activities, mentor junior engineers, and drive a digital-thread approach using MBSE and Codebeamer, ensuring consistent SE principles across programmes and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in systems engineering lifecycle (ISO/IEC 15288, INCOSE) with MBSE (SysML).
• Hands-on experience using Codebeamer for requirements management, traceability, reporting.
• Knowledge of elicitation, decomposition, interface management, V&V planning.
• Ability to integrate tools into a digital-thread approach.
• Strong communication with cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• System Engineering Support across the full lifecycle using appropriate methods.
• Develop and deploy a Systems Engineering Framework aligned to aerospace tech.
• Codebeamer integration and governance for requirements and dashboards.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers to grow team capability.
