Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering across defence, nuclear and critical infrastructure programmes in the UK. You will shape requirements, drive architecture and guide multidisciplinary teams in challenging, high-impact environments.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering systems engineering within defence, aerospace, nuclear or government programmes.
• Strong understanding of lifecycle management and ISO 15288.
• Experience leading requirements, architecture, integration, verification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of systems engineering principles across the lifecycle.
• Define and manage requirements with traceability from design to validation.
• Lead architecture development and solution design for complex systems.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and activities.
• Apply digital engineering techniques to support analysis and decisions.
• Conduct assessments, trade studies and inform programme decisions.
• Support system integration, acceptance and transition to operations.
• Build stakeholder relationships and mentor engineers.
