Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead engineering across the lifecycle for defence, nuclear and critical infrastructure programmes in the UK. Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a relevant STEM discipline with professional registration progress (CEng/CSEP).
• Experience delivering systems engineering within defence, aerospace, nuclear, energy, infrastructure or government programmes.
• Experience leading requirements engineering, architecture, integration, verification and validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of systems engineering principles, processes and standards across the lifecycle.
• Define and manage requirements with traceability through design, integration, verification and validation.
• Lead architecture development and solution design for complex systems and capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, work packages and engineering activities.
• Apply systems, architecture and digital engineering techniques to support analysis, integration and decision-making.
• Conduct technical assessments, trade studies and engineering analysis to inform programme decisions.
• Support system integration, acceptance and transition to operational use.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, mentor engineers, contribute to business growth and apply MOD acquisition knowledge, including KiD.
