Harvey Nash IT Recruitment UK is seeking a Senior Systems Development Accountant to own finance systems transformation across a global, multi-entity business. You will optimise, scale and modernise finance platforms used worldwide, sitting between Finance and Technology to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

This role combines technical ERP knowledge with stakeholder engagement to drive improvements across international operations, with a hybrid working model and global project exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance systems, ERP support, systems accounting or financial technology environments.
• Proven track record delivering finance system implementations, migrations, and integrations.
• Strong experience in a hybrid Finance and Technology role.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementations, upgrades and migrations of finance systems across global entities.
• Act as SME for core finance platforms, driving continuous improvement and optimisation.
• Manage ERP integrations with third-party apps, ensuring data flow and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology and external partners to define requirements and map data.
• Support month-end and year-end processes by ensuring system stability and accurate reporting.
• Manage complex technical escalations and troubleshoot critical system issues.
• Monitor automated interfaces, SFTP transfers and integration workflows.
• Review user access, controls and system security per governance.
• Produce and maintain system documentation, SOPs and technical guidance.
• Deliver training and support to finance teams across regions.

Senior Systems Development Accountant

Location: Hybrid | 3 days per week Blackfriars

Salary: £90-£95k

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a finance systems specialist who thrives on delivering complex ERP implementations, system migrations, and integration projects? We're looking for a Senior Systems Development Accountant to take ownership of finance systems transformation across a global, multi-entity business, helping to optimise, scale, and modernise critical finance platforms used worldwide.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys sitting between Finance and Technology, combining technical expertise with stakeholder engagement to deliver robust, scalable solutions across an international organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading end-to-end implementations, upgrades, and migrations of finance systems across multiple global entities.
• Acting as the subject matter expert for core finance platforms, driving continuous improvement and optimisation.
• Managing integrations between ERP systems and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
• Collaborating with Finance, Technology, and external partners to define requirements, map data, and deliver successful project outcomes.
• Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes by ensuring system stability, interface integrity, and accurate reporting.
• Managing complex technical escalations and troubleshooting critical system issues.
• Monitoring automated interfaces, SFTP data transfers, and integration workflows.
• Reviewing user access, controls, and system security in line with governance requirements.
• Producing and maintaining system documentation, SOPs, and technical guidance.
• Delivering training and support to finance teams and key stakeholders across multiple regions.

What We're Looking For

• experience in finance systems, ERP support, systems accounting, or financial technology environments.
• Proven track record delivering finance system implementations, migrations, and integrations.
• Strong experience working in a hybrid Finance and Technology role.

Hands-on expertise with:

• Infor SunSystems
• Infor ION
• Q&A Reporting
• Advanced Excel (including complex formulas and macros)
• API integrations, data mapping, and workflow design
• Experience supporting automated interfaces, data transfers, and integration processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across international teams and multiple time zones.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Desirable Experience

• Hospitality, retail, leisure, or other multi-site, multi-entity environments.
• Experience with tools such as SAP Concur, BlackLine, Freshdesk, or similar finance applications.
• Exposure to Adaco, Birchstreet, Opera Cloud, or Micros.
• Understanding of Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements.
• Basic SQL, Scripting, or development knowledge.
