Job summary

Sunny Recruitment in Llanidloes is seeking a Senior Systems Control Engineer to join their team. You will work on automated industrial machinery from workshop construction through to live site commissioning, with a 50/50 split between workshop and UK/European client site travel.

The role requires robotics and automation experience, Siemens PLCs and ABB robotics familiarity, and at least three years of maintenance and small project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in reactive maintenance and small project delivery.
• Proven background in robotics and automation systems with mechanical design understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assemble & program control panels; develop PLC, HMI, and robotic control programmes.
• Test & Commission: FAT in workshop, then on-site installation and commissioning.
• Mentorship & Training: guide and train junior controls engineers and provide post-installation training.
• Support & Maintenance: provide client technical support, perform diagnostics, maintain parts records.
• Documentation & Reporting: produce concise technical documentation and report milestones.
