Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer in the East Midlands to design, write and commission PLC and HMI software for bespoke automation projects. You will lead electrical design tasks, create circuit diagrams and ensure safety compliance across European and international standards.

The role involves liaising with customers and suppliers, integrating robots, and traveling to customer sites across the UK as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in software design and PLC coding for automation projects.
• Proficient with Omron, Siemens and Allen-Bradley equipment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of machine safety standards and CE marking requirements.
• Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Write and develop PLC and HMI software for automated machinery.
• Provide electrical design and circuit diagrams for control systems.
• Ensure compliance with European and international safety standards.
