Job summary
Automation Experts in Leicestershire seeks a senior Control Systems Manager to lead advanced automation and robotic projects for global clients. You will head a team of Software & Commissioning and Electrical Engineers, driving design, development and delivery of complex SP machinery.
The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, including PLC programming, robotics integration and creating electrical documentation using Eplan.
Qualifications
- Strong background in automation and control systems with leadership experience.
- Experience with PLC platforms and robotics integration.
- Proven ability to deliver control system projects on time and to budget.
- Ability to design and document electrical schemes and safety systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver all control system projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
- Lead and develop Software & Commissioning and Electrical Engineers.
- Design and develop machine control and safety systems for automated machinery.
- Develop PLC/HMI software and electrical documentation using Eplan.
- Oversee electrical design activities including BOMs and specifications.
- Commission, test and optimise SP machines and automation systems.
- Program and integrate robots (6-axis, SCARA, Delta).
- Support FAT/SAT activities and customer training.
