Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal System Safety Engineer to lead system safety, interoperability compliance, and regulatory assurance for the Old Oak Common Station project in London. You will oversee hazard records, safety requirements, and evidence across a multi‑contract delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering major infrastructure projects across life‑cycle stages.
• Engineering degree or equivalent industry background.
• Applied understanding of CSM-RA and Railway Interoperability Regulations in large multi‑discipline projects.
• Good interpersonal skills; effective communicator with a growing Systems Team.
• Able to manage workload and coordinate between project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead system safety and interoperability efforts across a multi‑contract delivery programme.
• Ensure compliance with CS M‑RA, ORR, and interop regulations.
• Manage Hazard Records, safety status reports, and evidence of compliance.
• Lead HazID/HazOp workshops and safety reviews.
• Provide training packages on system safety and regulatory requirements.
