Job summary

St Helens Borough Council is seeking an experienced Senior System Ops Analyst to join the ICT & Digital Delivery Service. You will administer, support and enhance large-scale social care and education systems, collaborating with partners to deliver improvements and major system upgrades.

You will analyse requirements, develop solutions, and contribute to training and service improvements while supporting transformation programmes like Families First.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and administering complex ICT systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of system configuration, testing, upgrades and release management.
• The ability to extract, analyse and interpret data and management information.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering effective digital services.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience of working with Liquidlogic systems is strongly preferred, as the role will involve supporting, developing and enhancing key social care systems that are central to service delivery and transformation programmes across the Council.

Responsibilities

• Senior System Ops Analyst will administer, support, develop and enhance large-scale business systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues, partner organisations and third-party suppliers to drive continual improvement of critical systems.
• Lead testing and implementation of major system upgrades; analyse user requirements and design new solutions.
• Develop training materials and provide expert support to ensure services operate efficiently.
