Senior Surveyor - Commercial Valuations

We have an exciting growth opportunity for an experienced RICS registered valuer to join our commercial valuations team based in London as a Senior Surveyor. The post holder will contribute to growing the Commercial valuations business, build client relations, and work with the existing department Partners to expand the team.

Our valuations cover a nationwide remit of properties including residential development, viability assessments, commercial and mixed-use developments, industrial warehouses, offices, and retail.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work within the existing valuation team in London, providing valuations for loan security (vacant possession and investment), internal decision-making, tax, and financial reporting purposes.
2. Conduct inspections, calculate floor and site areas, perform comparable, demographic, and economic research, handle planning and statutory enquiries, analyze company trading, review leases and development/option agreements, and prepare valuations and development appraisals.
3. Contribute to the growth of the business by identifying new opportunities within the Commercial valuation sector.
4. Assist in delivering major projects.
5. Prepare financial and client reports.
6. Deliver valuation reports in accordance with client instructions and RICS Valuation Standards.
7. Participate in developing and implementing an effective profit centre business plan aligned with Carter Jonas' vision.

Qualifications and Skills

You should be an experienced chartered surveyor and registered valuer with a strong knowledge of valuations across commercial assets. Leadership skills and the ability to manage key clients are essential. A good understanding of the local market and the ability to identify new business opportunities are highly desirable. Travel will be required, and a driving license is essential.
