Rating Surveyor – Growth Opportunity | Leading Property Firm | London

A leading, design-forward property consultancy based in London’s City Fringe is launching a new Business Rates advisory service and is looking for an ambitious MRICS-qualified Rating Surveyor to take a pivotal number two role in this growing team.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a service line from the ground up, backed by an award-winning agency brand, a market-leading position, and a steady flow of high-quality referrals from an established client base.

The Opportunity

You’ll be instrumental in developing and delivering the firm’s Business Rates service, working closely with leadership to:

• Manage the full Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) process
• Build arguments and appeal strategies across both standard and complex cases
• Develop internal processes, client materials, and marketing strategies
• Drive business development and help build a growing pipeline of fee-generating work
• Support client forecasting, budgeting, and accruals
• Contribute to recruitment and long-term departmental growth

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who’s technically strong, commercially savvy, and eager to grow into a leadership role.

• MRICS qualified with proven experience in a business rates/rating advisory role
• Strong understanding and execution of the CCA process
• Excellent client relationship and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Comfortable contributing to marketing and social media (camera-friendly is a bonus)
• Passionate about innovation, growth, and bringing fresh ideas to the table
