Business Rates Associate Director / Surveyor

Roles: 1x Business Rates Surveyor AND 1x Associate Director

Location: London, West End

Role Type: Permanent

I am working with a modern and innovative property company with a new approach to Business Rates. They leverage their strong branding to deliver excellent service to a diverse client list.

Business Rates is a core part of their business, and they are hiring two roles:

1x Associate Director, seeking an experienced Business Rates expert

1x Business Rates Surveyor – suitable for an existing Surveyor or a capable Administrator looking to advance

Both roles report directly to the Head of Business Rates, with excellent support and mentorship from industry experts.

The main responsibilities include:

• Managing the CCA process internally, submitting appeals, and building cases with councils.
• Keeping accurate records of all appeal cases and client interactions.
• Scheduling and coordinating meetings, inspections, and surveys.
• Assisting in preparing client reports, presentations, and materials.
• Communicating with clients, councils, and stakeholders.
• Monitoring deadlines and completing administrative tasks on time.
• Building relationships with Councils and the Valuation Office.
• Providing client reports and forecasts as needed.
• Staying updated on case law developments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a rating advisory firm
• MRICS qualification for the Associate Director role
• Backgrounds for Surveyor role can include Ratings Admins, Assistants, or experienced Ratings Surveyors
• Proven track record in managing CCA work and successful appeals
• Ability to navigate relief schemes with local authorities
