Business Rates Associate Director / Surveyor

Roles: 1x Business Rates Surveyor AND 1x Associate Director

Location: London, West End

Role Type: Permanent

I am working with a modern and cutting-edge property company with a new approach to Business Rates. They are leveraging their strong branding to deliver excellent service to a diverse client list.

Business Rates is a key part of their business strategy, and they are hiring two roles:

1x Associate Director, seeking an established Business Rates expert

1x Business Rates Surveyor – suitable for an existing Surveyor or an Administrator looking to advance.

Both roles report directly to the Head of Business Rates, receiving excellent support and mentorship from industry experts.

Key duties include:

• Manage the CCA process internally, submit appeals, and build cases via the CCA process and councils.
• Maintain accurate records of all appeal cases and client interactions.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, inspections, and surveys.
• Assist in preparing client reports, presentations, and materials.
• Handle correspondence with clients, councils, and stakeholders.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Build strong relationships with Councils and the Valuation Office.
• Provide client reports and forecasting as needed.
• Stay updated on changing case law.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a rating advisory firm.
• MRICS qualification preferred for the Associate Director role.
• For Surveyor, candidates can have backgrounds including Ratings Admins, Assistants, or established Ratings Surveyors.
• Proven track record in managing CCA work and winning appeals.
• Ability to navigate relief schemes with local authorities.
