Flude Property Consultants are an independent, regional firm of Chartered Surveyors regulated by the RICS who specialise in advising clients who own or occupy real estate. The firm provides a range of services to include lettings and sales, property development and investment, asset management, lease advisory, valuations and property management.

With offices in Brighton, Chichester and Portsmouth, Flude predominantly focuses on the commercial property markets of Sussex and Hampshire. With over 25 years in business operating in the South Coast property market, Flude has grown to be one of the largest surveying practices in the South East and on the South Coast.

Flude’s Brighton Agency Team

Flude’s Brighton agency team are one of the most active, high profile agency teams in Brighton & Hove and wider Sussex area. Currently comprising a team of six, they are heavily involved in the commercial property market of Brighton & Hove and the wider area. The team are involved in most forms of commercial property with a particularly strong presence in the office, industrial and retail markets. The team has consistently won both EG and CoStar awards for being the most active agents in Brighton & Hove and in East Sussex.

The Brighton agency team are complemented by a hands-on lease advisory team which enables a comprehensive transaction service to be offered to the firm's many clients. This is further supported by equivalent teams in its Chichester and Portsmouth offices, giving the firm a strong regional presence in Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex.

The Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced, ambitious, and hard-working surveyor to join our Agency department in our Brighton Office. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career development, with a clear path towards Directorship and the potential to progress to Head of Department and equity shareholding.

The successful candidate will be expected to focus in particular on the firm's retail and industrial agency activities, drive its development and further enhance our market position. This would involve:

• Manage daily instructions and lead generation
• Collaborate with colleagues from our Property Management and Professional department to identify opportunities
• Take ownership of their workload with limited involvement from other senior colleagues.
• Train and mentor junior colleagues
• Implement policy and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practice to include Anti-Money Laundering regulations
• Regularly network to promote the business and themselves
• Undertake a minimum of 20 hours of CPD and training
• Tackle specific weaknesses and gain knowledge and acquire new skills by developing professional competencies

About You

The successful candidate attributes will include:

• 4 + years experience in the property industry
• Qualified as AssocRICS or MRICS, or working towards RICS Qualification
• Professional and objective approach to work
• Commercially minded and understanding the balance needed as an agent in providing clients with good quality advice and the need to earn fees
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to think laterally
• Effective organisational and planning skills, and the ability to multi-task
• High level of numeracy and experience working with Excel
• Accurate, diligent, and attentive to detail
• Full clean driving license

Location

The package will be commensurate with experience and will be in the region of £36,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance, phone allowance, pension and bonus (PRP).
