Balfour Beatty VINCI in Birmingham is seeking new colleagues to join the Central Region team supporting major assets across bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Based in Birmingham, you will contribute to data handling, GDPR compliant information management and collaboration with stakeholders.

This role emphasises safe working practices, clear communication, and the ability to work with diverse teams on site. Flexible working options exist, with parking and travel support available where eligible.

Responsabilités

• Record communications with stakeholders as evidence.
• Collaborate with HS2, petitioners, stakeholders and subcontractors.
• Support escalation of issues and sharing of good practice.
• Adhere to safety standards and BBV behaviours.
• Contribute to BBV sustainability activities.
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic, adaptable approach to project progression.
• Proficient use of approved IT systems.
• Clear communication of safe systems of work requirements.
• Visit survey locations to verify surveys and produce survey reports.
• Plan and deliver to project deadlines.
• Develop processes and follow procedures.

HS2, Britain’s new high-speed railway is at peak construction. Balfour Beatty VINCI is HS2’s construction partner in the Midlands, responsible for delivering 90km of the route, from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.

Whether onsite or officed based all colleagues have a key part to play in delivering this critical transport infrastructure project.

Location

Based in Birmingham - the Central Region runs from the east of Birmingham into the city centre, comprising Sublot Delta, 1B, 4 and 5S. More than 50% of the structures within IPT Area North are located in the Central Region. This region, which covers a complex urban environment, also includes the 3.5 mile twin bore Bromford Tunnel. It also includes Interchange Station, as well as crossing three major highways (A45, M6 and M42).

Key Accountabilities

• Management of data gathering collation and storage of information with GDPR compliance.
• Record all communications with stakeholders as evidence where applicable
• Collaborate with HS2, petitioners, stakeholders and other subcontractors in support of project objectives.
• Support the escalation of issues and sharing of good practice
• To comply with and support team compliance with company and client safety standards
• Demonstrate the BBV behaviours
• Support the delivery of BBV’s Sustainability activities.
• An enthusiastic approach
• Ability to learn and be adaptive with project progression
• Proficient to an intermediate level in the application of working practices and approved IT systems
• Previous experience in the surveys, ground works, structures, and heavy civil works.
• Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately
• Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
• Ability to visit survey location to carry out and verify surveys, produce survey reports where required.
• Ability to plan and deliver to project deadlines.
• Organisational and Analytical Skills.
• Ability to develop processes and follow procedures
